On March 1 th, 2011, Lambda have increased our selection of coating to meet your application needs. Our newest additions are designed to accommodate wavelengths in the Near-IR, IR and UV. But sometimes, the coating on an optical element can be critical. Coatings are used to either increase the transmission of light by reducing back reflections (as in the case of lenses, windows, etc.) or increase the reflectivity of light (as in the case of mirrors). Different coatings can achieve different results depending upon your application requirements. Coatings are optimized for various regions of the spectrum, such as the infrared, visible, or ultraviolet.
